The Heartland Poker Tour has been a popular poker tour based in the United States with a focus on the middle of America – its heartland. The HPT was created in 2005 and still operates under the philosophy of “Real People, Unreal Money.”

The HPT does maintain partnerships with a variety of cable networks, mostly catering to the US market, to air weekly television shows featuring the main events of each of its tour stops that take place throughout the year.
Now in its 15th season, the HPT has awarded more than $90 million thus far and continues to tour America to bring mid-stakes tournament options to poker players.
As the most recent stop concluded at Golden Gates in Colorado, the tour heads to St. Louis and many other stops as the year progresses.

To St. Louis and Beyond
As the HPT heads to St. Louis for its second visit to Hollywood Casino, organizers anticipate a big turnout for all of the events. Action kicks off on July 25 with a $350 buy-in NLHE tournament with a $200K guarantee and three starting days.

The series will then continue with a seniors’ event for players aged 50 and over, a 7-game mix, deepstack NLHE, a NLHE guaranteeing everyone in the top 10% receiving at least $1K and another guaranteeing $2K, a bounty event, NLHE 6-max, and a tag team event. And it will end with a $1,650 Main Event that offers three starting days and a $500K guarantee.

More events may be added to the schedule before the year ends, but there is already one event on the schedule for the start of 2020. HPT on the High Seas will be played on the Symphony of the Seas cruise ship in partnership with Card Player Cruises in the Caribbean. That Main Event will require a $1,100 buy-in and is set for January 25 to February 1, 2020.
